The program aims to improve youth unemployment in Africa by equipping young women and men with the on job skills to lead african organisations.

There is a significant gap between the number of young people seeking work and the limited employment opportunities available to them.

We are catalysing a vibrant Africa by investing in youth leadership

Through Apprentice Kenya, we offer internship programmes in partnership with various community organisations, SME’s, impact institutions and government institutions where we believe this is undoubtedly one of the best ways to introduce youth to the world of work and a strategic opportunity to create sustainable employment for young Kenyans.

We believe Our Leaders

  • Full understanding of the development paradigms across Africa;
  • Experience and ability to innovate and bring new ideas to bear on the transformation agenda; and,
  • Ability to manage a relatively large multicultural organization.

Why Apprentice Kenya

  • Facilitate access to Job placement and internships, market-oriented vocational and technical education, and soft skills training to prepare young men and women for employment.
  • A United Nations Human Development Index (UNHDI) report released in 2017 shows that Kenya’s unemployment rate stands at 39.1 per cent, with a remarkably high youth unemployment rate, due to a harsh economic environment. As at 2016, an estimated 67 per cent of Kenya’s youth were unemployed or under-employed.

Social Finance is a key pillar of TADI, which serves as a hub for innovative collaborations across the public, private, and social sectors. The platform focuses on cultivating partnerships, creating innovative financing models, and strategically deploying investments to bring about measurable improvements in people’s lives. We will actively collaborate with a diverse range of entities, including banks, microfinance institutions, credit unions, insurers, and investors, to experiment with and test novel financial products, approaches, and processes, contributing to the evolution of impactful and sustainable solutions

Gender Lens Investing – We take the GLI as a strategic approach to investing that takes into consideration gender-based factors across the investment process to advance gender equality and better inform investment decisions.

Cross boarder fund – Access to funding is vital to social impact ventures, startups, and civil society organizations, which are further strengthened by the ability to cooperate and receive support across borders. Our role is to encourage cross-border funding , philanthropy and international development cooperation from climate intervention to livelihood.

We support leaders by building capacity on policy and governance, strategy,and delivery, unlocking the power of human resource, systems, technology across all three.

Improving local governance by supporting the institutional development and inter-relations of sub-national government and community institutions in a selected area, with special focus on improving systems and procedures for delivery of basic pro-poor infrastructure and services, and local management of public expenditure

TADI envisions a stregthened Africa’s media sector through advocacy, investments, technology, and training. We are at the forefront of convening the communication and media (for) development, social and behavioural change community through a social networking and shared knowledge strategy.

TADI champions the growth and self-reliance of African communities by nurturing leadership, catalyzing economic empowerment, and promoting social justice.
